This home is 19 squares or 1,900 square feet and took our crew two days to complete. The flat sections came out to 1,400 square feet and the pitched section came out to 500 square feet.
We had 10 men on the first day working from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. On the second day, we had 2 men working from 6:30 AM to 12:45 PM.
Flat roof: We tore off the existing tar and gravel roofing and broomed the roof surface clean. We replaced all the existing canales with new TPO canales. We mechanically fastened 1/2” thick expanded polystyrene insulation. We mechanically fastened 60 mil TPO and welded together. The color of TPO is white. We installed TPO flashing to parapet walls and vertical surfaces. We installed termination bar at the edge of all flashings and caulked. We installed boots on all penetrations, clamped and caulked them.
Pitched roof: We tore off two roofing layers and broomed surface clean. We installed Owens Corning synthetic underlayment, Owens Corning starter shingles and Owens Corning Duration dimensional shingles. The color is desert tan. This shingle has a 6-nail application with a 130 MPH wind rating.
We hauled off all trash and left the premises clean as we found it upon arrival. We got a city permit for this roofing work and passed their final inspection.
