This home is 25 squares or 2,500 square feet and took our crew two days to complete.
We had 10 men on the first day working from 6:30 AM to 5:45 PM. On the second day, we had 8 men working from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
We tore off two layers of asphalt shingles. We installed new 7/16” OSB decking over existing decking. We installed 2X2 galvanized drip edge, Owens Corning synthetic underlayment and Owens Corning starter shingles. We installed new 18” wide galvanize metal in valleys. Then we installed Owens Corning Duration dimensional shingles with a 6 nail application and 130 MPH wind rating. This shingle color is Colonial Slate.
Lastly, we installed Owens Corning hip/ridge shingles. We sealed all pipes and penetrations and painted them to match the color of the shingles. We pulled a city permit and passed final inspection. This roof carries a 10 year labor warranty and 50 year material warranty. The rear section is flat and was roofed with 60 mil TPO.
